Our library offers a scholarship program for Career Online High School (COHS). From this Online Instruction Center, you can:
- Browse the career courses available
- Enroll for Part 1: the COHS prerequisite career course
- Enroll in Part 2: the full COHS program
- Log-in as a student and access your classroom
Here’s how it works:
Step 1 – Your online self-assessment indicates that you meet the basic requirements for the program and are ready to enroll in the two-week long prerequisite career course.
Step 2 – Browse the catalog and choose your career focus e.g. Part 1 – Certified Protection Officer. Use your library card to enroll in the course of your choice. This is a two-week long prerequisite course. Note: it is important that you complete the prerequisite coursework in two weeks or less.
Step 3 – If you successfully complete the two-week long prerequisite course with a 70% or higher and with two weeks or less, your library will contact you within 5 business days to schedule an interview at the library to discuss your application for a scholarship award.
Step 4 – Upon completion of your interview, your library will contact you within 5 business days about the scholarship award.
If accepted into the program, you will enroll in Part 2 of this career area e.g. Part 2 - Certified Protection Officer (Prerequisite required). This course is a continuation of the career area you selected for your prerequisite course. You will gain entry into your online classroom within 72 hours.
